Mahieddine Raoui joined the firm in 2006. Before joining the firm, Mahieddine worked within the Secretariat General of the Council of the European Union where he was exposed to the legal and institutional dimensions of Euro-Mediterranean relations. He also worked in the Mergers and Acquisitions department of a major French Bank.

He has a very strong practice in both European and Algerian competition law, and has specifically advised many of the firm’s clients on all issues related to merger control.

His practice is not, however, limited to economic law since he also advises many foreign companies on Algerian public procurements and has been active in banking and finance law.

In 2005, the judges of the Court of Justice of the European Communities awarded him the best advocate general title when he competed in the "European Law Moot Court Competition”.

Mahieddine Raoui holds a Post Graduate degree in European Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies, Magna Cum Laude, from the College of Europe (Natolin, Poland campus). He also obtained a Graduate degree in Public Business Law, Cum Laude, from the University Paris II and a Graduate in European Business Law from the University Paris V, Cum Laude, after which he successfully obtained his CAPA (Parisian Bar Certification).

In 2008, Mahieddine obtained an LLM Degree From Harvard University.

He is fluent in French and English and has knowledge of Arabic.
