Brahim Embouazza joined the Ghellal & Mekerba Law Firm in 2006.

He has perfect knowledge of European institutions and of European law. He interned at the Cabinet of the European Commissioner of Transport, where he gained solid experience in the realm of transport and energy.

Brahim has been instrumental in organizing the firm’s economic law practice, thus making the firm a pioneer in Algeria. He specializes in Algerian and European antitrust and distribution law and in all contact with regulatory authorities. He also has a strong practice in trade law (Free Trade Agreements and WTO regulation), insurance law, maritime law and all issues related to aeronautic law and open sky agreements.

He has been a key speaker at many conferences organized by the European Commission and Algeria’s Ministry of Industry and Privatization.

Brahim is a graduate of the College of Europe (Bruges Campus) where he obtained a Degree in European Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies, Cum Laude. He also holds a graduate degree in European Strategic Studies, Cum Laude, from Lille’s Institute of Political Studies and Institute of International and Strategic Relations (IRIS), as well as a graduate degree in European Business Law from the University Paris V René Descartes. Brahim obtained his Master Degree from the University of Vienna (Erasmus Program).

He is fluent in French, English, German and Arabic.
